Annual Report Websites

Challenge & Solution

The YMCA DC branch consists of 18 locations in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. As a non-profit, the organization makes public an Annual Report to highlight goals, accomplishments, donors, and financials. I worked with the Director of Communications to transition the printed reports into interactive websites for 2013-2015, with the goal of crafting an engaging experience for visitors.

Results

The annual report websites expanded the access beyond the organization’s 15,000 weekly visitors. Website traffic and engagement increased year over year since taking the annual reports online.

Send a Kid to Camp Campaign

Challenge & Solution

The 18 branches of the YMCA DC offer many different types of summer camps for kids. However, not all parents are able to fully afford to have their children attend. The “Send a Kid to Camp” is a fundraising campaign to support financially challenged families to be able to send their kids to Y-Camps, with healthy and engaging activities among caring and inspiring role models. Working with the Director of Communications, we developed a marketing campaign consisting of print, environmental, online, and social collateral.

Results

The campaign raised $87,200 to support the program.
